1st Metropolitan Locksmiths Ltd (aka Metrolocks) Website Terms and Conditions (last updated 8th November 2021)

These terms and conditions apply to customers who are purchasing their keys and/or other goods online through our online key-cutting service, as well as any other of Metrolocks’ customers.

By accessing and using this service, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

This site and its components are offered for informational purposes only; this site shall not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, usefulness or availability of any information transmitted or made available via the site, and shall not be responsible or liable for any error or omissions in that information.

The company reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.

Payment Policy

Accepted payment methods: we accept Visa and MasterCard transactions, as well as payment by BACS/cheque on a pro forma basis. Items will only be ordered, fabricated or shipped once funds have cleared. In exceptional circumstances, we can arrange to send customers an invoice to be paid on a 30-day basis.

Payments usually take place in our online payment facility. Sometimes you may receive a call from our head office asking to take card payment over the telephone.

Payments are made in pounds sterling (£).

Refund and Returns Policy

Refunds: In the event that a product is faulty or that a key doesn’t work through no fault of the customer’s, we will do our utmost to ensure that any errors are corrected. Failing this, we can issue a full or partial refund, depending on the circumstances.

We cannot be held responsible for any collateral damage (e.g. lockouts, damaged locks etc.) due to non-working keys, and any refund will extend only as far as the full amount paid to us.

Returns: Most goods are custom goods (e.g. replacement keys for specific locks) and cannot be returned. In some circumstances a return of goods may be possible. Returns should be sent to our head office address. We cannot be responsible for non-delivery of returned items.

Cancellation Policy

Since most of what we sell is made to order, cancellation is not always possible. If a customer wishes to cancel their order, we will do our utmost to stop the order before it goes into production. If it is too late to cancel the fabrication of their order, then the customer will be liable to pay up to the full amount for the items.

Delivery Policy

Once the wares are ready and payment has been made, we will post items as soon as possible. In most cases, this will be arranged the same day, however we cannot guarantee this.

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with a correct delivery address. We cannot be liable for items delivered incorrectly by Royal Mail or any other delivery service.

I contacted 1st Metropolitan Locksmiths and from the very start I quickly got a reply to my inquiry regarding a set of keys that I couldn't get made in the U.S. At first I doubted the keys could be made since it was not possible in the U.S. Stan was the rep I emailed. He was fast and friendly. I received my keys in about one week which was super fast. I truly recommend 1st METROPOLITAN LOCKSMITHS. I will definitely use them again.

Contacted metro locks via their contact web page included the Key code and manufacturer had a reply back very quickly confirming they could help and if the keys they sent , did not work for our bike rack , we could send them back .Paid using a secure link that was emailed to me I had confirmation when the payment had been received , the keys were delivered the following day and worked!Very efficient service, easy to use, good price and technical knowledge and amazing delivery / turnaround time , would definitely use again .Thank you

Bought a pair of keys for some roller shutter doors from these people, and even thought they sent the right one it was sticking due to a template issue. The communication with them was prompt, friendly and informed. They took interest in the problem and were really keen to sort it out. Corrected keys arrived the next day.There are always things that crop up, but you can tell a lot about a business by how they deal with them, and these guys were excellent. Would 100% recommend.
