Copying a gate fob – or gate remote – doesn’t have to be as difficult as many people think. In fact, the vast majority of gate remotes can be copied relatively easily.

There are two steps, normally, to getting a new gate remote, which we will guide you through.

1. Identify the model of the gate remote.

Half of the battle is simply getting the right case for your remote.

The case is the physical fob that you hold in your hand, which normally has at least one button on it.

“But how do I know what model of gate remote I have?” I hear you ask. Don’t worry: we’ll guide you through that.

All you need to do is to send us a couple of pictures of your remote, and we’ll identify it for you.

Once this has been identified, we’ll send you a quote for the replacements. Then, we can move onto step two.

2. Programming the remote onto your gate system.

Once you have the remote, you’ll need to programme it onto the entry system.

Programming the remote is usually very straightforward. However, every remote has its own way of being programmed.

The good news is that a gate remote will come with instructions, so that you can easily programme it yourself.
